This is the prime reason for my aversion to PAID Matrimonial Websites. That is why I made the Open Source Alternative in omshaadiom.org:

- You will say, “So what? We will register free.”
- But once you register free, you will get an interest expressed from this beautiful girl from America, whose mom was an American and Father an Indian. She will tell you: “Unfortunately, both of them expired, and her father wanted her to marry an Indian and to explore Indian culture.”
- You won’t be able to reply to her because you are a free member. Only option to communicate is to become a paid member using any of the above options. You will be tempted to become a PAID member.
- Fortunately, your mom will come in and she will advise you not to marry someone who is so far off. So, the communication will not proceed any further. That means what? You are saved. Your Mom saved you from becoming a BAKRA.
- After a few days you will again get an offer from this very beautiful girl who is from a place nearby. Her horoscope matches yours perfectly. She is from a very good family with values, as her profile shows. She is interested in you and so are you. But the both of you are free members. So, you will show signs of being a Gentleman, and you will become a PAID Member (THAT IS YOU WILL BECOME A BAKRA).
- As soon as you become a PAID Member (i.e. a BAKRA), you will find that the girl has found someone else, or has disappeared or is no longer interested in you for the most trivial reasons.
- But, you are a PAID Member now. You will think that you were very wise as you did not become a PAID member (BAKRA) for long. You took the least expensive plan and became a member for 3 months only.
- So, time will go on, you will get caught up in a number of things and 2 months and 25 days will pass in a flash. In the last 5-10 days of your membership, you will get an interest and conversation going with another prospective match and by the time you will be able to exchange contact details, 5-10 days will pass. Now, the only option to communicate to the member is to renew your membership…
